The town of Calistoga California does not receive as much visitors as it should. The reason for this unintentional snubbing is easy to figure out and correct. There are so many visitors coming to Napa County and most are extremely pleased by the first few towns that they see. The issue is that the visitors do not make it far enough down, to the south of the county, to find Calistoga! This quaint hamlet has some of the best small-town ambiance of all the Napa County destinations, and should not be overlooked, for a great family vacation.

There is so much to see and do while in Calistoga California, and the day should start out at the vastly-popular, Safari West destination. This mini-safari meanders through a 40 acre wildlife preserve and also has a bed and breakfast just in case the trip needs to be extended. For those wanting to see what’s best about southern Napa County, it is Calistoga California for that endeavor!

Calistoga County has some great places to grab a bite to eat, such as All Seasons Bistro, which is one of the most well-known restaurants of all the Napa Valley towns. If Italian is on the menu, while in Calistoga California, Bosko’s Trattoria, located in downtown Calistoga, offers the finest and fresh made pasta and wonderful spaghetti as well! If all this eating-well has made the requirement for burning off calories a must, then head over to the Robert Louis Stevenson State Park and walk off some of those pounds! This park is magnificently lined with beautiful trees that are indigenous to only this part of central California.

There are trails and backpacking adventures for the entire family, as well as hot springs and cool running water! A day spent at Calistoga California is sure to please every member of the family and especially the artistic and the outdoor enthusiast! Calistoga California has warm sunny days and cool evening fall-like temperatures for most of the year! This is because the weather in both spring and fall is surprisingly mild, since the wonderful San Francisco Bay, which dictates most of the weather in this part of California, is far away!

One of the best things to do, while in Calistoga California is to take a walk down Lincoln Avenue. This retail establishment is one of the finest strips of shopper’s heaven and the adventurous shopper will find some very nice art galleries and other shops in which to bring home a souvenir, from this wonderful Napa County town! The town is so alive and full of tradition and overall, ‘happy residents’! A trip to central California, especially Napa County, must be made, so that the vacation of a lifetime, in Calistoga California, can be achieved.
