Skyline Wilderness Park
This place is spread over 850 acres! And it has something to offer to everybody. You can choose to hike, have a picnic or camping and even go on horseback riding. Most of the trails at the Skyline wilderness park are easy and not strenuous. So you can actually enjoy your hiking and not run out of breath.
Lake Marie
There is a short main trail which leads to the Lake Marie. On a clear day you could view up to Mt. Tamalpais when you sweat up the ridge trail. You will have to pay the visitors fee for hiking, camping etc.
Bothe Napa Valley State Park
This park is situated up the valley in Calistoga and is spread across 2000 acres! The trails at this place run through the rosewoods. Hikers can enjoy other activities and choose to camp at the Bothe Napa Valley State Park too. Biking and horse back riding are a must when you are this hiking adventure.
This park has been completely developed on one side where as rough and wild on the other. Birdwatcher will love this place as there are more than 100 species of birds in this region. Do take the moderate history trail at the park which is about 1.2 miles and has a picnic area passes through the Pioneer cemetery and a stone dam.
Other Hiking Trails
The Westwood Hills Park has three miles of forested trails. The hike has dense woods to meadows and offers a good view of the Napa valley. The Robert Louis Stevenson Park is another 5000 acre park giving ample of hiking opportunities, picnic and camping spots. This park has the statute of Robert Louis Stevenson and is home to Mt.St. Helena.
